Stephanie J. Mensing delivered remarks on behalf of the Philadelphia Bar Association at the United States District Court For The Eastern District Of Pennsylvania Naturalization Ceremonies. The Honorable Michael M. Baylson presided over the ceremony and Pat Meehan, former United States Attorney, was the distinguished speaker. One Hundred Six individuals from forty-eight countries became naturalized citizens of the United States of America.

The Legal Intelligencer published Stephanie J. Mensing’s article “Muay Thai and Me: Learning to Fight With My Limbs Instead of My Mouth” about Ms. Mensing’s experiences training in Muay Thai.
David Wisniewski taught Consumer Credit Reports and Consumer Debts at the People’s Law School. Mr. Wisniewski discussed the importance of an accurate credit report and also instructed the class on how to obtain, read, and correct errors in credit reports. Mr. Wisniewski also educated the class on the various state and federal laws governing debt collection and techniques for negotiating with creditors and third-party collection agencies.

Stephanie J. Mensing taught Employment Law at the People’s Law School, a community outreach project of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Mensing highlighted state and federal laws that affect employers and employees, as well as the Philadelphia Fair Practices Ordinance.

Eleanor Dezzi at WURD 900 interviewed Stephanie J. Mensing about the People’s Law School. The People's Law School is a community outreach project of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. The program provides adult legal education to Philadelphia-area residents at a nominal cost. The program provides basic, non-technical knowledge of areas of the law in clear, easy-to-understand terms.

The Honorable Louis H. Pollak presided over the ceremony and Katherine Pollak, former vice dean at the University of Pennsylvania’s College of General Studies, was the distinguished speaker. Ninety-one individuals from thirty-one countries became naturalized citizens of the United States of America.
